What is RN Heals?
RNHeals (Registered Nurses for Health Enhancement and Local Service) is a program devised by the Department of Health in an effort to provide basic healthcare to Filipinos at rural communities. It is a program that deploys health care workers, specifically nurses and midwives to these areas so that the DOH can better provide healthcare to the citizenry. It is also one of the Philippine Administration’s “solution” to the unemployment of the massive surplus of nurses in the country.
Who are the recipients of the services of this program?
The Filipino citizens, not limited to rural areas, are the main recipients of the health care services to be delivered by the Department of Health. The project also aims to employ nurses who are currently jobless. The RNHeals program is one of the DOH’s solutions to the betterment of the health of the Filipino.
